Our clinician panel

Who writes ESA letters at Support Animal?

Every ESA letter issued through Support Animal is written by a state-licensed mental health professional after a clinical evaluation. Evaluations are never conducted by unlicensed staff, automated systems, or offshore contractors. Each clinician below is a member of our panel, and each is verified by the licensing body named on their profile.

Panel verification standards

  • An active licence, verified with the board

Every clinician on the panel holds a current mental health licence, and each is verified against the board or authority that issued it.

  • A real evaluation before any letter

A letter follows an assessment of your history and symptoms and whether an emotional support animal is clinically appropriate. It is never generated automatically.

  • Housing law, not a registry

Letters are written to meet the reasonable-accommodation standard in the Fair Housing Act, 42 U.S.C. § 3604(f)(3)(B). There is no official ESA registry, and no certificate substitutes for a clinician.

  • Private by design

The process is HIPAA compliant, and your diagnosis is never shared with your landlord. The letter confirms a disability-related need without naming a condition.
